Werner Klüppelholz

Werner Klüppelholz (*1946) studied composition, music, musicology, sociology and phonetics in Cologne, where he achieved his masters in 1976. He joined the staff at Siegen University  in 1979 where he worked as a professor for music education from 1977 until he was made a professor emeritus in 2012. He was a well known composer of electronic music, chamber and choral music until 1972. He is a regular moderator on ARD radio, for whom he has worked on more than a hundred programmes, and made a name for himself as the author of many books, mainly about modern music. Werner Klüppelholz has concentrated on the Argentinian-German composer Mauricio Kagel, about whom he has written several books.
