Frank Albrecht was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1958 and joined the Ruth von Zerboni drama school in Munich before spending periods under contract to the Städtische Bühnen in Augsburg, Theater Bremen, Schauspiel Cologne and Theater Freiburg. He has appeared in film and television and worked with directors in the free theatre world in Munich and Cologne and the Youth Theatre in Bremen. In 1993 he and his wife Ursula Albrecht founded MUSIKTHEATERKÖLN, whose name changed to »Theater der Stille« in 2006. After studying part-time at the Institute for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis in Tübingen / Vienna and training as a non-medical practitioner for psychotherapy in Freiburg, he now works as a logotherapist in a group practice in Baden-Baden, in addition to his work on stage.  Now he’s back at Oper Frankfurt, where he made his debut last season as Vespone in Pergolesi’s La serva padrona which was followed by Charon in the 2021 world premiere of Lucia Ronchetti’s Inferno in the Bockenheimer Depot, where he is Puck in this new production of Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
