The actor Klaus Haderer is back at Oper Frankfurt to repeat his unforgettable portrayal of his role in the first revival of this new production of Die Lustige Witwe / The Merry Widow. He has worked with the director Claus Guth before, on an operetta pastiche In mir klingt ein Lied /There's a Song Inside Me at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich and Berenice at the Munich Biennale. Other recent engagements have included speaking in the first performance of Specter of the Gardenia with the Ensemble Modern at the Alte Oper Frankfurt and Das Runde muss ins Eckige / The Round Peg must go into the Square Hole at the Freilichtspielen in Schwäbisch Hall. Klaus Haderer worked regularly at the Schauburg in Munich until 2002. Most of his work is in radio and film and he has been reading audio books since 2011. He studied Musicology in Munich and graduated in drama from the Transformtheater in Berlin.
