The American tenor Bryan Register is back at Oper Frankfurt, where he appeared for the first time in 2016/17, singing  Énée (role debut) in the first new Trojans in Frankfurt for 34 years, a role with which he then made his debut at the Semperoper in Dresden in 2017, stepping in at very short notice to sing Tristan from the side of the stage. He recently sang his first Prince in Rusalka at the Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg. Recent highlights have included Tristan (Tristan und Isolde) at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Tokyo Nikikai Opera Theatre, Grange Park Opera and Theater Kiel, where he has also sung Siegmund (Die Walküre). He is currently singing Florestan at the National Theatre in Prague, a role he has sung at Opera Omaha and English National Opera in London, where he sang the Drum-Major in Wozzeck, the title role in Lohengrin at the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Savonlinna Opera Festival and Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, and Beethoven 9 with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Bryan Register has received support from the Wagner societies in New York and Washington D.C. since moving to the Heldentenor fach. This winner of many awards and graduate from the Manhattan School of Music in New York began his career at Santa Fe Opera and Glimmerglass Opera's opera studios.
