Her fate was shared by many Jewish artists under National Socialism: Magda Spiegel was a star at Oper Frankfurt in its former home on Opernplatz – until she was publicly mocked, fired and persecuted in 1935 before being murdered in Auschwitz. An evening of music, drama and recitation follows the career of this extraordinary singer.
