This young bass-baritone leaves the Staatsoper in Stuttgart's Opera Studio to join the Ensemble at Oper Frankfurt in 2025/26. His roles in Stuttgart included 2nd Soldier in Salome, Zuniga in Carmen, 2nd Armed Man Die Zauberflöte, Monterone (Rigoletto), Voce di Nettuno (Idomeneo), 2nd Knight of the Grail (Parsifal), Montano (Otello) and he was a soloist in many concerts. He worked free-lance during the 2022/23 season in Norway, where he comes from, and abroad: highlights that season included Escamillo in Carmen (Opera Rogaland), Kurwenal in Tristan und Isolde (Stavanger Symphony Orchestra) and the title role in Gianni Schicchi (Orchestra Mediterranea) in Palermo. He reached the semi-finals in the baroque section of the Renata Tebaldi Competition in San Marino. Born in 1995, he gained his bachelors at the Norwegian Academy of Music (2015 - 2019), then his masters at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's Opera School (2019 - 2021). He concluded his training, with a postgraduate diploma, at the University of Stavanger (2021/2022).  He was taught by Matthew Marriott and Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz in Norway and Stephen Robertson in Scotland. He made his operatic debut singing Ceprano in Rigoletto at the 2016 Oslo Opera Festival. He was awarded scholarships by the Norwegian Lilly Foundation, Tom Wilhelmsen's Foundation and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as well as the Steensland Schlarship and the Jonas Gundersen Music Prize.
