Spanish born Mar Sánchez Cisneros is back at Oper Frankfurt, where she made her debut in last season's new production of Handel'sOrlando, for the first ever performances in Frankfurt of Wolfgang Fortner's Don Perlimplín's Love for Belisa in his Garden. Whilst studying for her bachelors at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt she worked with leading choreographers including Cameron McMillan, Regina van Berkel, Marguerite Donlon and Luc Dunberry. After graduating (2021) she has appeared regularly at the Staatstheater in Wiesbaden, in productions including Rigoletto, Jörg Widmann’s Babylon, Tristan und Isolde and The Nutcracker Suite. She also took part in an immersive dance project Tanz mit mir! / Dance with me! as part of the 2022 »Wiesbaden dances« festival. She was engaged by the AMP Dance Company for the 2021/22 season, during which she appeaed in productions including Sketches of life, love and happiness and Der Himmel über meinen Kopf / The Sky over my Head. She furthers her technique in regular workshops, including Countertechnique with Nina Wollny, Forsythe Research Technologies with Katja Chereneva and ELDOA Methode with Anne Peyk.
