The Austrian born dancer Luciano Baptiste started training at the SunStudios for Musicals in Vienna, took private lessons with Sabine Hilpert and graduated, and gained his bachelors in classical ballet and contact improvisation at the HfMDK Frankfurt in 2021. Engagements have taken him to places including the Académie de Danse in Vienna and performances at the Vienna International Ballet Experience (VIBE) in Vienna and the USA, at the Festwochen in Vienna (Ishvara), ZuKT (part of the contemporary and classic dance department at the HfMDK), the Frankfurt Electric Dance Theater (Holographie Show), at Context. Diana Vishneva Festival in Russia, the Dance Biennale in Hamburg's Kampnagel, the Kunstfest in Weimar (And when we change…) and Festival »Zukunft Tanzt«. He has worked with choreographers including Paula Rostas, Dieter Heitkamp, Georg Reischl, Iván Pérez, Robyn Orlyn and Laura Hicks. Now he's back at Oper Frankfurt, where he made his debut in 2022 in Tchaikovsky's The Sorceress, to dance in the first ever staged performances in Frankfurt of Wolfgang Fortner's Don Perlimplín's Love for Belisa in his Garden and this new production of Tannhäuser.
