Bruno Roy, who comes from Montreal, is making his European debut singing a servant in the first revival of last season's very successful production of Strauss’ Capriccio. While this Canadian baritone was a member of the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto' Opera Studio, he sang roles in many productions including Graf Larmoral in Arabella, Marullo in Rigoletto, 2nd Priest in Die Zauberflöte and appeared in Tosca and Harry Somer's Louis Riel. He studied at the McGill University in Montreal and his repertoire includes Marcello (La Bohème), Belcore (L’elisir d’amore) and Graf Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Mercutio (Roméo et Juliette), John Brooke (Mark Adamo's Little Women) and L’Horloge / Le Chat (L’enfant et les sortilèges). Bruno Roy takes part in Carmina Burana with the Ottawa Choral Society under Jean-Sébastien Vallée in 2019.
