While Stefanie Heidinger was studying at the University for Music in Würzburg she sang roles including Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Elena in Gluck’s Paride ed Elena and Miss Worthword in Albert Herring. Other engagements have included Second Woman / First Witch in Dido and Aeneas (Würzburg’s Mozartsommer Festival) and roles in Penderecki’s Der Teufel von Loudun and Ligeti’s Le Grand Macabre (dir: Calixto Bieito) at Theater Freiburg. A scholarship from the Richard Wagner Verband enabled her to take part in masterclasses held by Juliane Banse, Konrad Jarnot, Rainer Altorfer and Michael Volle. Concert work has included Mendelssohn’s Eliajh and Mozart’s Requiem. She joined the Chorus at Oper Frankfurt in 2013/14, where she has sung an aristocratic orphan in Rosenkavalier several times.
