The Croatian mezzo-soprano Diana Haller is appearing at Oper Frankfurt for the first time. She joined the ensemble at the Staatsoper in Stuttgart in 2010/11, after a year spent in their opera studio, since when roles have included Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Ruggiero (Alcina), Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Angelina (La Cenerentola), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Enrichetta (I puritani), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel) and the title role in Ariodante. Guest engagements have included Ines (Il Trovatore) several times at the Salzburg Festival, Dido in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas at Festival Osor, La Cenerentola and Hänsel at the Gärtnerplatz Theater in Munich, the title role in Rossini's Tancredi and Alberto in Giuseppe Balducci's Il noce di Benevento at the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad, the title role in Handel's Giulio Cesare in Egitto in Ljubljana and her first Enrichetta di Francia at Zurich Opera. She sang the title role in Hasse's Siroe, re di Persia for the first time at the London Handel Festival, Rosina in Split and at the Semperoper in Dresden, Altichiara (Francesca da Rimini) at La Scala Milan, Adalgisa (Norma) in Rijeka and the Hamburg State Opera, the Composer in Cologne's Philharmonie, Mahler 8 at the Bregenz Festival and Ruggiero, which she also sang at Opéra de Strasbourg, at Cologne Opera and the Semperoper in Dresden. This winner of many international competitions and Opernwelt magazine's 2013 Up and Coming Singer of the Year, studied at the Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Tartini in Triest, the Royal Academy of Music in London and with Dunja Vejzović at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Stuttgart.
