Andreas Gießer was born in 1992, grew up in Munich and studied theatre, language, literature and culture at the LMU in Munich before studying acting at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt. During the 2018/19 season he spent a year in Schauspiel Frankfurt's studio, and was seen in many plays, including the Christmas fairy tale Der kleine dicke Ritter / The Little Fat Knight, directed by Fabian Gerhardt, and Rausch, directed by Rüdiger Pape. He is currently working freelance and his many guest engagements have taken him to places including the Staatstheater in Wiesbaden and Staatstheater in Darmstadt. He joins the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus in Düsseldorf in 2021/22.
