Guillaume Faraut was born in France in 1987 and studied at the Hanns Eisler University for Music in Berlin with Stefan Hempel and Kolja Blacher. He joined the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester in 2014, and was appointed one of the leaders of the viola section in 2023/24,  and is often invited to lead other groups of musicians. Guillaume Faraut has been teaching at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt since 2019.
