Yvonne Gebauer
Dramaturge
Born in 1972 in Berlin, Yvonne Gebauer studied German, philosophy and religious studies at the Freie University in Berlin. She has been working as a dramaturge for opera and plays 1998 and with the director Hans Neuenfels for more than twenty years. She works regularly and closely with Nadja Loschky, Claus Guth and Christof Loy. She also collaborated on productions with David Hermann, Frank Hilbrich, Tobias Kratzer, Shirin Neshat, Amélie Niermeyer, Johan Simons and Kazuko Watanabe. She was a professor for dramaturgy at the University for Applied Science in Hamburg (Reinhard von der Thannen's costume classes), the Academy for Applied Arts in Vienna (Erich Wonder's set design classes), the Mozarteum in Salzburg (Amélie Niermeyer's director's classes), the Weißensee University for Arts in Berlin (Stefan Hageneier's set design classes) and the »Hanns Eisler« University for Music in Berlin. She worked freelance for the literary pages of the Süddeutsche Zeitung from 2001 - 2008 and as dramaturge and photo editor on the Bayerische Staatsoper's Max Joseph magazine from 2009 - 2018. She studied German, philosophy and religious science at the Free University in Berlin.
