Marina Hatae

Born in Tokyo, Marina Hatae started playing the violin when she was four, with Maki Yoshida. She then studied with Prof. Akiko Tatsumi at the Toho Gakuen School of Music and gained her bachelors, with distinction, in 2020. She furthered her studies and won prizes as a soloist and chamber musician at international competitions in Japan. She gained further experience as a member of the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra, and inspiration in masterclasses held by people including Zakhar Bron, Boris Kuschnir and Pierre Amoyal. She's been preparing for her masters with Prof. Daniel Gaede at the University for Music in Nürnberg since 2021, won a scholarship to join the Paul Hindemith Orchesterakademie (April 2023 - August 2024) and joined the Frankfurter Opern und Museumsorchester's 2nd violin section in September.
