»Das Rheingold«

Aged 15 - 21? A wonderful chance to attend this dress rehearsal, see things which are normally kept under lock and key and maybe meet people involved in the rehearsal.

A huge river of sound emerges from a deep E flat in the orchestra: a thrilling, overwhelming beginning to Wagner's Das Rheingold - a thriller about power, contracts and grey zones of morality. Wagner composed it at a time of radical political upheaval – a vision of a world on the brink of disaster.
