Nikola Hillebrand (soprano)
& Simon Lepper (piano)

Diary complications mean that the soprano Nikola Hillebrand, not Corinne Winters is giving this recital.

Nikola Hillebrand was born in Munich, where her musicality and talents were spotted early. She took up ballet and learned to play the flute, sang in choirs and played in orchestras while she was growing up. Now she's one of the most sought-after and versatile singers of her generation, at home in on the operatic stage and concert platform. Her broad repertoire ranges from Adele (Strauß‘ Die Fledermaus) to Cunegonde (Bernstein's Candide). She has sung Konstanze (Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail) and Musette in Puccini's La Bohème at the Semperoper in Dresden and Gretel (Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel) at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. She's often engaged to sing Susanna (Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro) and Zdenka (Strauss‘ Arabella). Plans include Sophie (Strauss‘ Der Rosenkavalier) in Berlin and Vienna. She recently sang a Schubert recital in the Wigmore Hall in London with Malcolm Martineau. She is regularly praised in the press for her wonderful voice, acting abilities and extraordinary stage presence. A reviewer wrote in Hamburg's Abendblatt (after she sang Susanna in the Elb Philharmonie this March): «Nikola Hillebrand sings a Susanna to fall in love with, her voice irresistibly expressive.«

She will be singing an all Schubert programme in Frankfurt - details will appear here soon.
