Morgan-Andrew King made his debut at Oper Frankfurt during the 2024/25 season singing Potap in a revival of Tchaikovsky's The Sorceress, which was followed by Bourdon and the Ogre in wonderful new productions of Le Postillon de Lonjumeau  and Reimann's Melusine. He started the 2025/26 season off singing Hobson in Peter Grimes, which is followed by Mikitich / Chernikovsky in a new production of Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov, the Steward in Offenbach's The Bandits and a Servant / Murderer in Verdi's Macbeth. This Māori bass left the New Zealand School of Music to study with Jack LiVigni at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia in 2023. In 2021 he won 1st place at the Napier Coldicutt Aria Competition, 2nd place at Wellington Vocal Competition and the Te Awamutu Aria Finale. He joined the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival in Sicily for the 2022 season, where he sang Sparafucile (Rigoletto), Coline (La bohème) and Simone (Gianni Schicchi), before returning to New Zealand for Banco in Macbeth. He also sang Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte), Raimondo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Don Magnifico & Alidoro (La Cenerentola) and Marchesi & Dottore (La Traviata).
