Maria Zibert was born in Nischni Novgorod, Russia, where she studied choral singing. After passing all her exams at the Academy for State and Local Government in Moscow she spent some years working in the tourist industry before taking up vocal studies at the Music Academy in Wiesbaden with Richard Staab. After gaining her bachelors she is now attending a master course in operatic singing at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main with Michelle Breedt. She was awarded a scholarship by the Wagner Verband Bayreuth in 2022 and is making her debut at Oper Frankfurt in the world premiere of Vito Žuraj’s Blühen in the Bockenheimer Depot.
