South Korean born Kiduck Kwon is back at Oper Frankfurt, where he sang a Servant in Capriccio, an Apprentice in our new Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and in the world premiere of Vito Žuraj’s Blühen in the Bockenheimer Depot this season, to take part in this new Britten Prodigal Son / Burning Fiery Furnace double bill. He started studying in 2011 at Hanyang University with Prof. Robert Wonjun Lee, obtaining his Bachelors in 2018. He started work on his Masters in October 2019 with Prof Michelle Breedt at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main. Roles since 2010 have included Don Curzio (Le nozze di Figaro), Alfredo (La traviata), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Gherado (Gianni Schicchi), Tamino, including a university production of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (2020), Alfred (Die Fledermaus) and Wenzel (Die verkaufte Braut / The Bartered Bride).
