The dancer and choreographer Katharina Wiedenhofer is back at Oper Frankfurt, where she recently performed her own choreography again Capriccio, working as a choreographer on this new production of Offenbach's The Bandits. She trained at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main, and has worked with choreographers including Dieter Heitkamp, Marco Santi, Toula Limnaios, Marc Spradling, Jean Renshaw, Éric Trottier and William Forsythe. She appears all over the world in Célestine Hennermann's dances for very small children miniMAX, Elephant Walk and Rock wie Hose. She danced in a production of Wanda Golonka at Schauspiel Frankfurt and at the Volksbühne in Berlin and worked as a choreographer and dancer at the Stadttheater in Fürth. She has been dancing for the »La_Trottier Dance Collective« company in Mannheim since 2013.  She directed and choreographed Die große Wörtefabrik / The Enormous Word Factory at Theater Überzwerg in Saarbrücken and Geheimlich / Secretly for Hennermann's Horde and choreographed many productions for TheaterGrueneSosse, Kortmann and Konsorten, Theaterhaus, kleine Oper Bad Homburg, Barock am Main and works as an artistic coach and personal trainer. She was awarded the 2010 Stuttgart Theaterpreis for »Best Dancer« and the Karfunkel Preis for miniMAX in 2015, Zertrennt (2018) and Angsthasen (Scaredy Cats) , Gänsehaut (Goose Bumps) and Espenlaub (Aspen Leaves) and Dance (2022).
