Todd Camburn studied piano in the USA with Martin Katz and graduated in coaching and chamber music. He has worked as a pianist and vocal coach at Theater Aachen, the Nationaltheater in Mannheim, the Seattle Wagner Festival, the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and the Salzburg Festival and was invited to the Tanglewood Festival to coach Lieder singing. He has been working as a soloists' coach at the Grand Théâtre in Geneva since 1996. Many of his concerts – in particular chamber music with members of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande – were broadcast in French speaking Switzerland on radio and television. He regularly accompanies singers including Nicola Beller-Carbone, Benoît Capt, Marie-Claude Chappuis, Jeanne-Michèle Charbonnet, Dale Duesing, Juha Uusitalo and Marina Viotti. In recent years he worked as pianist and coach at various Lieder festivals in Switzerland, France and Italy. He was appointed coach at Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in 2004, where he now runs the singing department.
