Peter Schröder trained to be an actor at Hannover University. From 1982 he started working in Bremen, Lübeck, Kassel, Hamburg, Berlin, the Theater an der Ruhr and went under contract to Theater Basel until 2011. Directors he has worked with have included Werner Schroeter, Elias Perrig and Roberto Ciulli and, since joining Schauspiel Frankfurt in 2011, Michael Thalheimer, Kay Voges, Oliver Reese, Andrea Breth, Andreas Kriegenburg, Jan Bosse, David Bösch, Roger Vontobel, Anselm Weber and Mateja Koležnik. Roles in Frankfurt have included Die Legende vom heiligen Trinker, Lenz / The Legend of the Blessed Drinker, Lenz and Abschied von den Eltern / Saying Goodbye to your Parents by Peter Weiss, both one man shows. Now he's back at Oper Frankfurt, where he played Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, to entertain you as the Major Domo (role debut) in Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos.
