Klaudia Wielgórecka was born in 1994 in Tarnowskie Góry (Poland) and started playing the double bass when she was 13 at the Bytom School of Music. She went to further her studies with Prof. Petru in 2013. Whilst still a student she played in various youth orchestras, including »I, Culture Orchestra«, at the Lucerne Festival Academy and with the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. She gained further experience with the Rheinland-Pfalz State Philharmonic in Ludwigshafen, the Orchester des Nationaltheater in Mannheim and Staatsorchester in Kassel and, after gaining her masters, joined the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra and the Bremen Philharmonic.
