ANNY SCHLEMM PRIZE - PRELIMINARY ROUND
With current and former members of Oper Frankfurt's Opera Studio participating
The Anny Schlemm Prize was created by Neu-Isenburg to honour Kammersängerin Anny Schlemm. The first two prize winners were the Irish mezzo-soprano Paula Murrihy (2011) and Canadian mezzo-soprano Julia Dawson (2016). This prize, €6000, is awarded to a young female members of Oper Frankfurt's Opera Studio every five years. Former members of the studio are also invited to take part. Jury members include Anny Schlemm, Intendant Bernd Loebe, Neu-Isenburg's Bürgermeister Herbert Hunkel and the Kulturmanager Karl-Werner Joerg. The three successful candidates on this evening will go on to the final on February 28 2021 in the Hugenotten Halle in Neu-Isenburg.
