Jakob Bogensperger is working at Oper Frankfurt for the first time, on this production of Adolphe Adams’ Le postillon de Lonjumeau. He qualified as a master of lighting at the Kammerspielen and Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna, where he also worked as a lighting designer. Other engagements have taken him to Theater Rabenhof, the Carinthian Summer Festival in Villach, Oper Graz, the Kampnagel Theater in Hamburg, the Biennale di Danza in Venice, the Tirol Festival in Erl and he works regularly at the Salzburg festivals. He was deputy head of the lighting department at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich from 2014 - 2020. He was responsible for the lighting designes alongside Ayal Dadon, Matteo Carvone, Erna Omarsdottir & Halla Olafsdottir, Karl Alfred Schreiner, Emanuele Soavi, Christina Tscharyiski, Lukas Wachernig and Nicole Weber.
