Doriana Tchakarova performs regularly as an accompanist and chamber musician at leading concert halls, including ones in Berlin, Vienna, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Hannover, Freiburg, Lugano, Bayreuth and renowned festivals including the Heidelberg Spring, the Lieder Festival in Oxford, the Dresden and Würzburg music festivals and the Schubertiada in Barcelona. She collaborates regularly with leading singers including Samuel Hasselhorn, Julian Prégardien, Juliane Banse, Konstantin Krimmel, Ulrike Sonntag, Matthias Klink, Nils Wanderer, Magnus Dietrich and the SWR Vokalensemble. A CD of ballades by Schubert, Loewe, Schumann and Jensen with Konstantin Krimmel was released by Alpha Classics in 2019, nominated for an International Classical Music Award and won a Diapason découverte. Recordings with sopranos Judith and Felicitas Erb (Schumann, Hugo Kaun and Louis Spohr - with ARS-Produktion) and Mendelssohn duets with Fanny Hensel met with universal acclaim. Other recordings include Brahms duets with the Erb sisters and Magnus Dietrich (MDG label) which was nominated for 2023 Opus Klassik prizes in three categories, and a recording with the soprano Eva Zalenga and tenor Robin Neck will be released later this year by hänssler classics. She was born in Varna, Bulgaria, gained her bachelors and masters in piano af the University for Music in Stuttgart, studied Lieder with Prof. Konrad Richter and won many prizes at international competitions. She is a professor of how to coach singers at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Stuttgart and is much sought-after to play for masterclasses and international singing competitions.
