Łukasz Goliński
Bass-baritone
The Polish bass baritone Łukasz Goliński is back at Oper Frankfurt, where he made his debut in 2019 in the title role of Szymanowski's Król Roger, a role he sang at the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw, the Royal Opera in Stockholm, where he also sang Jochanaan in Salome, and Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome under Antonio Pappano, to sing Scarpia in this revival of Tosca. His roles in Warsaw have included Selim (Un turco in Italia), Janusz (Moniuszko's Halka), Jagu (Paderewski's Manru), Lord Cecil (Maria Stuarda), Sharpless (Madama Butterfly) and Germont (La traviata). He enjoyed great success in Prokofiev's The Fiery Angel at the 2018 Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and Teatr Wielki under Kazushi Ono. He is a regular guest at Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, where roles have included Verdi's Falstaff, Mozart's Figaro, Graf Homonay (The Gipsy Baron), Tonio (Pagliacci) and Marcello (La Bohème). He has enjoyed great success as Escamillo in Carmen in Poznan, at the Berlin, Hamburg and Stuttgart state operas, in Amsterdam, Tokyo and Zurich, Gajolo in Gomes' Fosca in São Paulo, Graf Tomsky (Pique Dame) at the Liceu in Barcelona, Fotis in the Greek Passion while making his debut at the Salzburg Festival. Marcello at Covent Garden, followed by Orest in Elektra, which he also sang in Naples, where he can be heard this season as Dagon's High Priest in Samson et Dalila.
