This wonderful American soprano's back at Oper Frankfurt, where she made her debut in 2018/19 singing Grete in a new production, and subsequent revival, of Schreker’sThe Elusive Sound (get the CD! OehmsClassics), which was followed by Chrysothemis in a new Elektra, to sing Kundry (role debut) in this new production of Parsifal. She's been thrilling audiences in the title role of Strauss' Salome at places including the Deutsche Oper and Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, the Semperopper in Dresden, the Vienna State Opera, De Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam, in Bilbao and Atlanta. She sang her first Sentas in a new production ofThe Flying Dutchman at the Hamburg State Opera. Highlights in recent seasons have included Elisabeth (Tannhäuser) in Hamburg, Cassandre (Les Troyens) at the Munich Opera Festival and in Dresden, the title role in César Franck’s Hulda in Paris, her first Elsas in Lohengrin at Oper Leipzig, the Composer (Ariadne auf Naxos) at the Teatro Colon Buenos Aires, and her first Sieglindes, Ellen Orfords and Leonores (in Die Walkure, Peter Grimes and Fidelio) - she recently sang Leonore again, at the Zurich Opera. Works in her busy concert career have included Mozart’s C minor Mass with Bertrand de Billy, Zemlinsky’s Lyric Symphony with the Gürzenich Orchester in Cologne and Beethoven 9 at San Francisco Opera. She makes her debut in Bayreuth, singing Sieglinde, in the summer of 2025.
