The Ukrainian soprano Kateryna Kasper, singing Cleopatra (role debut) in this revival of Giulio Cesare in Egitto, left the Opera Studio to join the Ensemble at Oper Frankfurt (2014/15 - 2024/25). Roles for the company, many of them in new productions, included Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Tytania (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Nannetta (Falstaff), Antonida (Ivan Sussanin), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), Oriana (Amadigi), Lady Harriet Durham (Martha) Frasquita (Carmen), Tigrane (Radamisto), Valencienne (The Merry Widow), Countess Stasi (The Csárdásfürstin), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Angelica (Orlando), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Romilda (Xerxes), Venus (Ascanio in Alba) and Venus in Mozart's Ascanio in Alba. She also enjoyed great success singing a Young Woman / Young Man in the world premiere of Eötvös' The Golden Dragon here in the Bockenheimer Depot. Guest engagements have taken her to places including the Staatsoper in Berlin, The Rudolfinum in Prague, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Theater an der Wien, the Konzerhaus in Vienna and Berlin, the Elb Philharmonie, Tonhalle in Zurich, Tokyo Opera City, the Isar Philharmonie in Munich, to Basel, Montreal, Los Angeles, St. Margareten and Moscow, the Longborough Festival Opera, Tongyeong International Music Festival, the Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Edinburgh International, Salzburg and Bregenz festivals, working with conductors including René Jacobs and Francesco Corti. Her repertoire, many of the roles sung for the first time in Frankfurt, includes Aci (Aci, Galatea e Polifemo), Empress Arianna (Il giustino), Orasia (Orpheus), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), Bellezza (Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disiganno) and Agilea (Teseo). She is also much in demand for concert work and as a recitalist. Her extensive discography includes works by Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn, Weber, Shostakovich and Weinberg. She was nominated for an Opus Klassik in 2023 (»solo singer« category) for her album of Lieder Sweet Memories of You. She won the 2014 International Miriam Helin Singing Competition in Helsinki.
