Lucija Pejković studied at the Music Academy in Zagreb with Valter Dešpalj before going to the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna to further her studies with Reinhard Latzko and Andreas Lindenbaum, concentrating on contemporary music. She joined the Paul-Hindemith-Orchesterakademie in January 2025. She's won prizes at international competitions and festivals, including the Virtuoso&Belcanto in Italy, the Petar Konjović competition in Belgrade, Croatia's National and the Boris Papandopulo competitions. She also attended masterclasses held by people including Troels Svane, Claudio Bohorquez, Peter Bruns, Xenia Janković, Adrian Brendel and Silvija Sondeckienė. Her passion for chamber music was encouraged by Stefan Mendl, Johannes Meissl and Peter Schuhmayer, amongst others, and led to performances in venues including the Musikverein in Vienna's Brahms Saal. She gained experience of playing in orchestras under conductors including Kiril Petrenko, Jaap van Zweden, Philippe Herreweghe and Alain Altinoglu, stepping in for musicians in the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Hessen Radio's hr-Sinfonieorchester, the Zagreb Philharmonic and Croatian National Opera and time spent with the Gstaad Festival Orchestra, the Grafenegg Academy and the European Union Youth Orchestra.
