Alyona Rostovskaya, a member of the ensemble at Hessen's State Theatre in Wiesbaden since the 2023/24 season, is making her debut at Oper Frankfurt singing Micaëla in Carmen. Roles in Wiesbaden have included the Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Agathe (Der Freischütz), Micaëla, Hanna Glawari (The Merry Widow) and Alice Ford (Falstaff). This season roles there include Kupawa in Rimsky-Korsakov's Snowflake and she makes her debut at Theater Bonn, singing Agathe. After time spent with the Salzburg Festival's Young Singers Project she went under contract toTheater Heidelberg, where she enjoyed great success singingRusalka, Governess (The Turn of the Screw) and Antonia (Les contes d’Hoffmann), amongst others. She made her debut at the Komisch Oper in Berlin in 2024, as the Contessa. Other engagements have included Mimì (La bohème), Tatjana (Eugene Onegin), the title role in Janáček's Cunning Little Vixen and Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi) at leading houses in German speaking countries. She also enjoys a busy concert career, appearing with conductors includingTeodor Currentzis.
