Chiara Isotton

The Italian soprano Chiara Isotton is making her debut at Oper Frankfurt, singing the title role in Tosca, a role she just sang when making her debut at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and can be heard singing in Tokyo, Piacenza, Florence, Turin and at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. She trained at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatoire in Venice and made her professional debut, singing Tosca, in Spoleto in 2013 before joining La Scala Milan's Academy. Roles there included the Priestess in Aida, Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor, Gertrud in Hänsel und Gretel and, most recently, Tosca. She sang Leonora in Il trovatore in Sassari and inThe Medium in Modena, in the Verdi Requiem at Lithuanian National Opera in Vilnius, Margherita (Mefistofele) at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Elisabetta (Don Carlo) and Amelia (Un ballo in maschera) at the Opéra municipale in Marseilles, Minnie (La fanciulla del West) at the Opéra de Lyon and State Opera in Bucharest, the title role in Cherubini's Medea in Toronto, Tosca at Covent Garden and the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Giorgetta (Il tabarro) and the title role in Suor Angelica in Bilbao and Bologna. She has worked with conductors including Fabio Luisi, Myung-Whun Chung, Marco Armiliato, Carlo Rizzi and Marc Albrecht. Recent concert work included Mahler 4 in Genoa.
