Signe Heiberg

Signe Heiberg. who was born in Copenhagen, was a member of the ensemble at the Stadttheater in Bremerhaven from 2021 - 2014, during which time she sang her first Lady Macbeths in Philipp Westerbarkei's production of Macbeth, which was nominated for a 2023 DER FAUST German Theatre Prize. She sang the role again at Theater Heidelberg in 2024 and in this production that December, making her house debut in Frankfurt, jumping in at very short notice. Other recent successes have included Sieglinde in Die Walküre at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf and the title role in Puccini's Tosca. She sang her first Rusalkas in 2023. She's currently singing the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier in Heidelberg, where she has also sung Manon (Manon Lescaut), Jenůfa and Leonora (Fidelio). Her repertoire includes Desdemona (Verdi's Otello), Countess Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Agathe (Der Freischütz), Giulietta (The Tales of Hoffmann), Amelia (Un ballo in maschera), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus) and Hanna Glawari (The Merry Widow). This prize winner at the 2024 Lauritz Melchior International Singing Competition graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in her home town and the University for Music and Theatre in Hamburg.
