Ursula Hensges is studying for her masters at the State University for Music and the Performing Arts in  Mannheim with Prof. Snežana Stamenković. She has attended many master courses run by people including KS Prof. Christiane Iven and Prof. Rudolf Piernay. A member of the ensemble at Mannheim's opera school she appears regularly on stage, most recently as Dido and the Sorceress in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and Dorabella in scenes from Così fan tutte. In 2022 she sang Flora Bervoix (La Traviata) in a production at Baden-Württemberg Youth Opera. In 2023 she sang the title role in Carmen, an Opera for Children production at Oper Frankfurt, where she she was part of the vocal ensemble in Handel's Xerxes. She loves singing Lieder and in concerts, most recently Mozart's concert aria Chi‘io mi scordi di te… with the Kurpfälzischen Kammerorchester and as soloist in a Mozart Gala under Stefan Blunier in Mannheim Castle. She made her debut at the SWR Festival in Schwetzingen in 2022 with a programme of Lieder by Cramer and Mendelssohn. Ursula Hensges holds scholarships from the Fritz Wunderlich Gesellschaft in Kusel and Richard Wagner Verband Heidelberg. She reached the finals of the 2023 International Antonín Dvořák singing competition  and won a prize for her interpretation of Charlotte's letter scene from Massenet's Werther.
