Tanya Blaich, who specialises in accompanying, has appeared with singers including Sari Gruber, Thomas Hampson and Klemens Sander in concert halls and festivals in Europe and the USA. A passionate chamber musician, she has appeared with artists including members of the Colorado, Lydian and Miro string quartets. She regularly partners the mezzo-soprano Paula Murrihy - recent highlights including concerts at Teodor Currentzis' International Diaghilev Festival, the Santa Fe Festival of Song and leading European concert halls and their album, I Will Walk With My Love was released in 2020 by Orchid Classics.  They also worked together preparing the world premiere of John Harbison's sixth symphony with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She has been teaching piano and singing at the New England Conservatory since 2006, where she gives courses concentrating on performing Lieder, diction and interpretation and coordinates the institute's Recital series. She gives regular recitals and masterclasses at universities and colleges in the USA and has coached singers for the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Handel and Haydn Society and Odyssey Opera Boston. She studied at the Sorbonne, graduated from Walla Walla College in Washington and gained a diploma in accompanying singers and chamber music at the Conservatoire in Vienna. She also attained her M.M. and D.M.As at the New England Conservatory.
