The Spanish harpist Sara Esturillo Sanchez has performed at home and abroad as a soloist and with orchestras and chamber music ensembles. She won invaluable scholarships and was taught by highly respected harpists including Françoise Verherve, with whom she currently studies. She was a member of the State Philharmonic Orchestra in Hamburg’s Academy from 2018 – 2020 and has been under contract to the Frankfurt Opern und Museumsorchester since April 2022. She has performed with orchestras including the hr-Sinfonieorchester, the NDR Elb Philarmonie Orchester, the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Oslo Philarmonic, Norwegian National Opera’s orchestra and the Spain’s National Orchestra. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Orquesta de RadioTelevisión Española, Orquesta Sinfónica de Málaga and the Bergen Symphony. She was awarded a scholarship by the Fundación Galindo and won many prizes at national and international competitions, including the Vienna International Music Competition, the North Chamber Music International Competition and won the Bergen Symphony Orchestra’s soloist prize.
