Guillaume Faraut was born in France in 1987 and studied at the Hanns Eisler University for Music in Berlin with Stefan Hempel and Kolja Blacher. He joined the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester in 2014, who appointed him deputy leader of the viola section in 2024/25,  and is often invited to lead other groups of musicians. Guillaume Faraut's been teaching at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt since 2019.
