This Italian-American musician joined Oper Frankfurt as a soloists' coach in 2018/19. He conducts the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester for the first time in 2020/21 – with a new double bill of Britten's The Burning Fiery Furnace / The Prodigal Son (both of which have never been performed in Frankfurt before). He gained experience in assisting and coaching during time spent with companies including San Francisco Opera and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, where he made his debut as a conductor in a concert with the Lyric Opera Orchestra in 2015. He has accompanied many leading singers in recital, including Stephanie Blythe, Lawrence Brownlee, Quinn Kelsey and Eric Owens in venues including the Kennedy Center in Washington, Carnegie Hall in New York and the Sala Sinopoli at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. The baritone John Brancy and Mario Antonio Marra won the 2013 Marilyn Horne Song Competition.
