This pianist makes music with singers including Ludovic Tézier, Krassimira Stoyanova, Margarita Gritskova and Matthias Goerne, international soloists such as the flautist Patrick Gallois and clarinettists Philippe Cuper and Andrew Marriner and members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Born in Bulgaria, she also takes part in chamber music concerts at renowned international festivals including the Salzburg Festival, the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan, the Donau Festival Ulm and March Music Days in Russia and has played at venues including the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Festival Hall in London and the Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo. Highlights in her career have included concerts with the Vienna Philharmonic under Riccardo Muti and Seiji Ozawa. She worked closely Sir Neville Marriner for many years, which is documented by many recordings includingThe 20th Century Concerto Grosso with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields (Chandos, 2013). Maria Prinz has taught at the University for Music in Vienna since 1987.
