Simon Bode, who sings Gabriel in the world premiere of Michael Langemenn's Anna Toll, left the Opera Studio to join the ensemble at Oper Frankfurt in 2012/13, where recent roles have included Graf von Lerma (Don Carlo), Armand Brissard (Der Graf von Luxemburg), Steuermann (Der fliegende Holländer/The Flying Dutchman), Fenton (Falstaff), a Notary (La sonnambula), Lechmere (Owen Wingrave), the Young man (and other roles) in the world premiere of Eötvös' The Golden Dragon, Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) and roles in three one act operas by Bohuslav Martinů. Engagements during the 2016/17 season include Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail in Klagenfurt and Don Ottavio, a role he recently sang at the Staatsoper in Hannover, at Theater Basel. Simon Bode has sung at the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo, Theater Heidelberg, the Staatstheater in Braunschweig, the Bregenz Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Heidelberger Spring festivals and at the Wigmore Hall in London. His discography includes a CD and DVD of Sciarrino's Luci mie traditrici, a recording of Brahms Lieder and he can also be heard in live Frankfurt recordings of Wagner's Die Feen/The Fairies and Das Liebesverbot/The Ban on Love (OehmsClassics).
