This Turkish violinist was born in Istanbul and started her studies at the state conservatoire there before going to Mimar Sinan University for the Arts, where she was taught by Cigdem İyicil and graduated. This was followed by further study in Essen, Munich und Hamburg, with Mintcho Mintchev, Ingolf Turban and Tanja Becker-Bender, amongst others. She took part in masterclasses in Bulgaria, Germany, Greece and Turkey and appeared as a soloist with several international orchestras and at festivals. Prizes won by this award winning violinist include the Internationalen Pancho Vladigerov and National Gülden Turali violin competitions. Whilst a student she received a scholarships from the Bousan and Eczacıbaşı foundations. She was a member of the NDR's Elb Philharmonie Orchester's academy, where she returns often as a guest. She also appears in concert with various chamber ensembles.
