Hanna Herfurtner

Soprano

Hanna Herfurtner, who made her debuts at Cologne Opera, in Glanert's Solaris, and the Nederlandse Reisopera, in Gluck's Orpheé et Eurydice during the 2014/15 season, is appearing at Oper Frankfurt for the first time, singing Helmwige in Die Walküre. Other recent engagements have included Polly (Birtwistle's Punch and Judy) at the Staatsoper in Berlin, Nerea (Polifemo) at the Theater an der Wien, Fraarte (Radamisto) at Oper Kiel, and roles at the Ruhrtriennale (including the title role in Henze's Gisela!) and the Salzburg and Bregenz festivals (including Tchaikovsky's Der Kaufmann von Venedig/The Merchant of Venice). Hanna Herfurtner's has appeared in concert at the Heidelberg International Spring, Mecklenburg Vorpommern and Rheingau Musik festivals, at the Konzerthaus in Vienna and has given a recital in Tokyo. Conductors with whom she has worked have included Michael Boder, Rubén Dubrovsky, Christopher Moulds, Erik Nielsen, Steven Sloane, Patrick Summers and Christian Thielemann.
