Paris born double bassist Antoine Brochot studied at the Conservatoire in Argenteuil, Bourg-la-Reine and Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, where he gained his masters in teaching jazz. He gained important inspiration from musicians including Pierre Boussaguet, Laurent Coq, Yann Dubost, Banz Oester and Joe Sanders. Antoine Brochot leads a trio bearing his name (with Thomas Mayeras and Germain Cornet), which performs mainly in France and Switzerland and whose first recording was released in 2019 by Sunset-Sunside. He recorded his first album with a new French / Swiss quartet in 2021. His quintet project »Resilience« reached the final of Tremplin Jazz in Saint-Germain-Des-Prés. He also plays in other formations and projects including the Cynthia Abraham Trio, Thomas Mayeras Trio, Les Mains Sales, SugarSwing, and Marina Viotti. Engagements have taken him to venues including the Montreux Jazz Festival, Festival du Périgord Noir and Festival Off d’Avignon.
