The Moldavian soprano (Micaëla in Carmen January 9 & 13 2022) is appearing at Oper Frankfurt for the first time. Later this season she can be heard singing Tatjana (Eugene Onegin) at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège and Mimì (La Bohème) at the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos (both house debuts). Other future engagements include appearances at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels and her debut at the Hamburg State Opera. Recent engagements have included Tatjana (role debut) at Garsington Opera, 5th Maid (Elektra) at Zurich Opera, concerts with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and at the Salzburg Festival, Zerlina (Don Giovanni) with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra and the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro) at the Nationale Opera Amsterdam. She joined Norske Opera's Youth Ensemble in Oslo in 2014, where roles inclued Micaëla in Calixto Bieito's production of Carmen. She was a Glyndebourne Jerwood Young Artist in 2015/16, and appeared in Janáček's The Cunning Little Vixen. In 2016/17 she opened Norske Opera Oslo's season in a performance of Calixto Bieito's staging of Britten's War Requiem, which went on tour to the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao. After this she returned to Oslo to sing her first Fiordiligis (Così fan tutte) and Micaëla. She was a member of Opera Zurich's International Opera Studio from 2017 – 2019, during which time her roles included the Sandmann (Hänsel und Gretel), Javotte (Manon), Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), 5th Maid (Elektra), Slave (Salome), roles in Jörn Arnecke's family opera Ronja Räubertochter / Ronja the Thief's daughter and Arminda in La finta giardiniera. She won 2nd prize at the 2019 »Neue Stimmen« competition in Gütersloh and reached the finals of the International Queen Sonja Music Competition in Oslo.
