Gorka Culebras studied dance and musical in his home town of Madrid and now works internationally as a dancer and performer. He took part in Dreams of a Traveller at the Nationaltheater in Bahrain, a 2018 interdisciplinary project to round off the »Muharraq – Cultural Capital of the Arabic World« festival (director: José Antionio Ruiz; choreographer: Patrick de Bana). He also works regularly on oper productions at leading theatres. He has collaborated with the directors Robert Carsen for some time (Idomeneo, Das Rheingold and Die Walküre at the Teatro Real de Madrid) and Hugo de Ana (Aida at the Teatro Real and Carmen and Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Arena di Verona, all choreographed by Leda Lojodice). He reguarly works with Christof Loy, most recently on Orfeo ed Euridice  at the Salzburg Festival and a Bartók Miraculous Mandarin / Bluebeard's Castle double bill at Theater Basel, where he embodied the title role in the first of these two works.
