The Korean pianist In Sun Suh, who joined Oper Frankfurt as a soloists' coach in 2011/12, is currently playing for performances of Hänsel und Gretel in our Opera for Children series. During the 2020/21 season she took part in streamed versions of Opera to Go, The Stage is Yours and Saint-Saens' Carnival of the Animals and thrilled audiences in a programme of music for 2 pianos with head coach Takeshi Moriuchi in 2019/20. This former member of the Metropolitan Opera and Lindemann Young Artist Development Program has worked at San Francisco Opera, Santa Fe Opera, the Spoleto Festival and Ravinia’s Steans Institute for young artists. She accompanied Brenda Rae in recital at the Carnegie Hall in New York in 2017. She has also performed in other leading venues including New York's Alice Tully Hall, Symphony Space and Lincoln Center's Peter Jay Sharp Theater. In Sun Suh won the 2008 Marilyn Horne Foundation Competition. She began her studies at Yonsei Universtity in Seoul and completed her masters at the renowned Juillard School in New York in 2007.
