Tatiana Vassilieva
pianist, coach
Tatiana Vassilieva, from St. Petersburg, joined Oper Frankfurt as a soloists' coach in 2022/23. She worked as a pianist and singing teacher at Lyric Opera of Chicago, for works including Tchaikovsky's Pique Dame, and has assisted conductors including Harry Bicket, David Robertson, Emmanuel Villaume, James Gaffigan, Ramón Tebar and Jader Bignamini. She worked with Nicholas Carter at the Stadttheater in Klagenfurt after time spent with Santa Fe Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Central City Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Pacific Opera Victoria and Edmonton Opera. She gained her masters at the Eastman School of Music and continued her pianistic and accompanying studies at Tanglewood Music Center, the Music Academy of the West and as a member of the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme.
