Anna Sofie Tuma is back at Oper Frankfurt, where she designed costumes for Claus Guth productions of Verdi's Un ballo in maschera and Puccini's Il Trittico and Florentine Klepper's production of Arnulf Herrmann's Wasser / Water, for this new production of Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmelités. She and Claus Guth have worked together before, on operas including Così fan tutte at the Salzburg Festival and La Scala Milan. Recent productions with Florentine Klepper have included Arabella and Der fliegende Holländer / The Flying Dutchman at the Semperoper in Dresden, Der ferne Klang / The Distant Sound at Graz Opera and Rusalka at the 2019 Tirol Festival in Erl. She has also worked on a lot of plays at theatres including Staatstheater in Hannover, Schauspielhaus in Bochum, Theater Basel, the Staatstheater in Stuttgart and Munich Kammerspiel.
