Felix Dreher

Sound Designer

Felix Dreher has been working as a sound technician at Oper Frankfurt since 2010, and was responsible for the sound design in Lachenmann's Das Mädchen mit den Schwefelhölzern / The Little Match Girl and the world premiere of Lior Navok's An unserem Fluss / By Our River, and electronics in the world premiere of Rolf Riehm's Sirenen / Sirens. He has also worked on many orchestral recordings and Oper Frankfurt's series of live recordings of operas with OehmsClassics. He works regularly with the Ensemble Modern and the composer Benedict Mason. Whilst training as a professional sound technician he was awarded a scholarship by the International Ensemble Modern Academy and has worked with people including Heiner Goebbels, the adapter ensemble, Mavis, the soloists' ensemble Kaleidoskop, the hr-Sinfonieorchester and the Installations artist Tamara Grcic. He has also worked on recordings for other companies including Deutschlandradio Kultur, the Hessische Rundfunk, Neos and Naxos labels and carrier records.
